I tried that several times. Aside from going to the Add/Remove programs, is
there anyother place that I would have to remove the LImewire install from?
Yes, the Registry. Go to: Start>Run>type REGEDIT and press OK.
Click Find and type Limewire. After it finds the first entry, rightclick it
and click delete. Press the Function key (F3) and continue till it finds all
to the end, and close it. Reboot your PC and reinstall the new copy
of Limewire.

You have either deleted or have corrupted XP system files.
Do this - Start>Run>type SFC /SCANNOW (space between C and /)
and press OK. Have your XP CD handy for it may ask for it.
SFC is the system file checker which replaces missing and/or corrupt
system files.
