What is LimeWire all about.
Have a few friends that use it, is it safe?

Limewire one of many P2P File-Sharing applications.
Not the best I've used personally.

I have used it in the past - but not now - be very careful many of the downloads are full of viruses/trojans/keyloggers etc

If you really must use it make sure you have a good AV in place and have Limewire set to scan with your AV before downloading to your PC.

I think that answers the question fully - I feel its time to lock it

I've used it for a couple years, still do, and have never had a problem.

I have Antivir free edition running alongside it.
