Just installed the latest systems update from lightscribe.com. I ran the
program in XP compatibility mode as an administrator and everything works
now. I also added the enhanced contrast utility from lightscribe and it
installed the same way.

Good looking out there Scott!
I did it exactly as you said, and Lightscribe is working for me as well.
It does take a little longer than it used to, but hey, small stepsin teh
right direction are still steps in the right direction.

Thanks for the information :-)

Thanks for the info.

Installed and working, however I didn't need to install it in compatability
mode. Just installed as administrator.

Graham.

I Have a BIG problem. I did what you guys did, with the lightscribe and it
messed my system up real bad. What update exactly did you get? Cause now my
Cd drive is not being installed. It was working fine and then after the
install its not. It keeps saying that there are driver problems with it. It
finds the drive in device manager, but cannot access it or install it. I did
a system restore to before the update but it didnt help. Somehow lightscribe
installed and overwritten the original drivers, now whenever it trys to
install the drivers it finds the screwed up lightscribe drivers. I have the
same problem with my 2 Gig Sandisk Cruzer. It is seen as a Cd drive (maybe
cause its so big), and it too has the same problem, but with that it is also
running as a removeable drive so i dont have a problem accessing it. Please
help my I have no working CD driver and cant seem to install it. Also on
other thing I put the Vista dislk and booted off it, (so it still works) and
I opened CMD off the disk and put F: and hit enter and it told me exactly
what drive it was and the serial number. So it must be the lightscribe.
Please help

I installed the LightScribe System Software.

I use Nero 7 Ultra. From a FAQ I found, I should open SmartStart, and
go to Extras, and there should be a LightScribe option there. I don't
see any.

Am I doing something wrong?

Thanks.

Open Nero Burning Rom and select File/Print Lightscribe Label

No Print Lightscribe Label option under File either.

I'll try reinstalling Lightscribe software and rebooting.

This is Vista RC1.

Evan,

You might want to right-click the filename, Properties, Compatibility,
then check Compatibility Mode for:, and set to WinXP SP2.

P.S. to email me, remove "YOURSHORTS"

To tell you the truth, you might be happier downloading the free Surething labeling software from the Lightscibe website. I tried the Nero labeling module and it was a little clunky compared to Surething which also is working here on Vista. Don't forget the Extended label contrast utility, this makes a big difference.
