LIDIL?

I was looking for a cheap all-in-one and was reading about the
Officejet 5510 on HP web site and noticed that it uses LDIL
(Lightweight Imaging Device Interface Language). Is that some thing
new? How does it compares to PCL and PS? Or does it matter at all?
