Licensing Windows XP Prof

Hi,

I have a home office where I use two computers, a desktop
and a Notebook. Both were running Windows 2000. My
Desktop was infected by a virus that obligated me to buy
the upgrade to Windows XP Professional and install it
from scratch. Question: Does the licensing agreement
allow me to install Windows XP in my Notebook with the
same product key number? What about the activation
process? or I have to buy a new upgrade copy.

Not permitted with Windows XP.

The licensing requirements for all versions of Windows have always
required a separate license for each and every computer.

Retail versions of Microsoft Office have a provision allowing it to be
installed on 2 computers *provided* the same person is the exclusive
user of both machines.
