I recently deployed my first Win2K server and it is set up
with 50 per seat licenses. Can anyone tell me why the
server is assigning licenses to computers as well as
users? Also, it is not recycling them when people log off
the network?

The server thinks that I am over my license amount even
though only 10 or 20 people are logged on at once so it
denies others access.
 
Just stop and disable License logging service and keep track of your
licenses manually as if you were in per seat mode.
It is not needed nor does it work right.
