We have a new Win2k server based network using AD. I see the following
error messages in event viewer (in cptr mgt, system tools):
1st: in "Application" I see several (daily) of the error LicenseService
(event 202). The description reads: "The product windows server is out of
licenses. Use license manager from the Admin tools folder for more info on
which users are out of compliance & how many licenses should be purchased."
Unless our licenses are based on the amount of users in AD and not users
logged in, we come no where near exceeding it. Also, many of the errors
occur during off hours when no one is here? Any ideas?
2nd: in "System" I see quite a few time sync problems. The description
reads "This machine is a PDC of the domain at the root of the forest.
Configure to sync from external time source using the Net command 'net time
/setsntp:<server name>" Huh?
I'm not a tech person, I have no idea what any of this means and if we in
fact have a problem.
