License store error while using XPE SP2 - no error using SP1

Hi,
I have developed a custom application using Windows media player to
play DRM protected content. If I run this program on XPE with SP2, the
program hangs after about 800 continuous plays with "License store not
working" Error. This, however does not happen on a system with XPE SP1
even after around 25000 plays.
Can I confidently say its a SP2 problem? Any proof that it been
documented before so that I can prove this to the critic?
BACKGROUND :
On both the occassions the hardware used has been the same and I cannot
single out any other major difference between the iterations.
Tried using XP Professional with the same result.

Any help will be highly appreciated.

If you are saying you can repro the problem on XP Pro SP2, this is not XPe problem at all.
You may want to proceed with MS PSS. AFAIK, if there has been no related WMP QFE you have no luck to get a fix to the product (WMP)
other than PSS.
