I attempted to perform a clean boot using Microsoft's
Knowledge base article 310353. Now when I try to start my
computer, it says I need to register Windows - there is no
way to 'go back' to the original configuration. Also,
because it is only for use on one computer, the Windows
registration phone line won't accept my product key (since
it has already been activated once).I have tried booting
in safe mode to the last good configuration, and also in
standard safe mode with networking, but I cannot load
Windows because it always asks for me to register the
product. I've been using this installation for six months.
