Hi,
I have this setup - domain controller is windows 2000 active directory server.
Terminal server is 2003. Has been working OK with temp licences until they
expired. Have now installed 5 user CAL which installed and registered OK.
I still can't login to TS though - no terminal server licence servers available
error.
When I go into term serv licencing on 2003, it searches for licences on
"2000server.domain.local", and can't find any. If I choose "connect" and type in
the name of 2003 server, it shows 2003server activated. **
In event viewer on 2003 is a warning: the terminal server could not locate a
licence server in the "domain.local" domain. Confirm the licence servers on the
nw are regsitered in WINS/DNS acccepting nw requests and the Terminal Server
Licencing Service is running. Do I need to manually register 2003 server in DNS
somehow?
I can't help thinking that ** above is my problem and that if I get round that,
then it will all work.
Any ideas? --- many thanks
