Library in Media Player won't open

I have a Media Player 10, and when I click on the library tab nothing
happens. I've never had this problem before. All the files are there, but I
can't get to them.

I've reinstalled, used system restore and banged my head on the desk to no
avail. The rest of the program works fine, but freezes more often (this
happened at the same time the library went MIA).
 
After you click the Library tab, go to the top of the lefthand column and
click All Music, see if that will list it. If it did, go all the way to the
bottom of the window and click the +sign Add to Library it will also show
how many item(s).
