LG CDRW

Just got a second LG cd Burner and installed it. Now I have 2 LG CDRW drives
in my PC.The problem is that only one is recognized as a burner and the
other just a cd rom drive. I ran all the troubleshooting stuff in WinXP Pro
and to no avail.

Any suggestions

By "recognized as a burner", do you mean in the burning software, like
Nero or EZCD?

If so, update the software to the latest version. If not, post more
details.
 
What I meant was I try to burn in an existing install of WinCD and where it
asks for recordable drive it says only one choice and when I click on that
drive I get an error preventing me from continuing. Sorry I wasn't that
clear before. Another thing, Idon't know if I was clear enough on the first
post. I now have 2 LG CDRW's in my machine. One 52x32x52 and the other
is32x10x40.

So you tried updating WinCD?
It's the newer, 52X drive not being detected?

Have you tried looking at the properties of the drive that isn't seen as a
recorder? There should be a Recording tab with a box to check to enable
writing to the drive.
 
If you use the OEM software that came with the drive, it usually only works
for the burner it came with, not any other models.
I would suggest removing the old burner and using the new one.
