Has anyone heard about a Sodabot worm? Symantec lists this as the
probable cause of the lexplore errors but I can't find anything else
about it.

The Symantec website does provide a script to follow to rid oneself of
the pest but, how about a removal tool?

If you Google the file name LEXPLORE.EXE you'll find several different
malwares that use that file name ... and not just Sodabot. Are you
sure you aren't just having problems with IE? You do know that
iexplore.exe is the file name of IE, I suppose. The lower case "L" can
be confused with the upper case "i" .... l and I might look the same
and cause confusion.

If you definitely have a LEXPLORE.EXE where the first letter is
actually "L" you might well have one of several different malwares.
Upload the suspect file to Virus Total to see what malware names
the various av products assign and let us know:
