Hi!

I just got a brand new Lexmark Z65 for £10 via a special deal a local
shop was doing and it came with no inks at all.

What i am wondering is can the printer print with only a black
cartridge in it?

I use an Epson 890 for photo printing and i am not going to replace it
with the Lexmark and i thought i mightbe able to use the Lexmark for
printing letters as the Epson uses colour ink like it is going out of
fashion even when not using colour!

Cheers,

Engelkott

You fell for it too, eh? I picked mine up at a yard sale for $10 US. Brand
new - unused. No ink. As I later found out, no bargain. The ink is so
costly as to be prohibitive to economical use. Too bad - I'm a big fan of
Lexmark but they set me back with this printer.

I don't know. My guess is no based on my experiences with much older
Lexmark inkjets.

In the long run, it will be less expensive to throw the Lexmark in the trash
& buy a laser.
