Lexmark Z32 Windows XP

Hi,

I'm trying to find anyone out there
who has a Lexmark Z32 printer working properly with WindowsXP.
Not just printing ok, but operating so that the "enable bidirectional
printing support" box can be ticked instead of being greyed out.

Tried loads of 'fixes', been onto Lexmark support who are offering on going
suggestions, but I feel like I'm flogging a dead horse.

Googling seems to indicate that this is a known problem.

I'm not convinced it's possible to solve it.

Is there anyone out there with this set up actually working, or do I just
file it with other myths like Yetis and Loch ness monsters.

I had one of these things which i got free with an xp machine. It did
work, kind of, but only when it felt like it and I passed it on to
someone else and bought another printer. I soon got the unwanted gift
back :O)
