I could pick up one these cheap. Do they print good? Does the ink cost
high or can they be refilled? I heard the print head was in the cartridge?
How long can they set without printing?

My mom likes her Lexmark Z25 attached to the desktop computer I assembled for
her with the Windows XP Professional operating system.
I installed the printer and drivers.
My mom was even able to replace the ink cartridge in the Lexmark Z25 by
herself.
My mom bought the replacement ink cartridge at Wal-Mart for around $30.

They print ok, don't expect photo quality. Ink costs are high like Michael
said but they are one of the easiest to refill and just like HP the print
head is in the cartridge. I really don't have any idea on how long they can
sit without printing. Both my sisters have either a 3200 or Z22, basically
the same printer, they love them but do very little printing. A few letters
and greeting cards now and then and I have them do a test print at least
once a week to prevent any problems.
It depends on what you call cheap, many times this printer can be had for
just $10 over the cost of a cartridge.
