Hello,
I have a strange problem with my Lexmark X83. I have installed a new color
cartridge, however it still keeps telling me that "Color ink is low" when it
prints. On the Lexmark website, it says that reinstalling the print drivers
will reset the levels (which of course it doesn't). I have tried resetting
the printer, and numerous other fixes I have found out on the web, however
nothing will reset it to full. The black cartridge does indicate as full.
I have found the registry entry that seems to indicate ink levels, but am
not sure which entries to change. The location in the registry is
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Lexmark\LXASSW32.EXE\OFN1
If anyone has an X83 that indicates both cartridges are full, can you export
this specific registry key and email it to me or attach it to the newsgroup.
(Zip it up otherwise my mail program will strip reg files). If I have a
good registry file to compare it to, I know I can make the necessary changes
on mine.
Thanks,
David
