I am running Win XP. Have downloaded all drivers with
success for Lexmark X73. I can only print one half of a
document the the message appears " having trouble
communicating with printer. Then I recieve a notice that
an unknown USB device attached. I have delt with Lexmark
support with no luck with them. I have even gone into the
control pannle and changed the power managment function
so XP cannot control it. I really could use some advice
for this problem. NEED HELP

It's a Lexmark. Follow Bruce Sanderson's instructions to do a COMPLETE
uninstall and reinstall of the printer... pay particular attention to his
specific section on Lexmark printers.

After you've clean up everything reboot the PC. Download a new set of
drivers from the Lexmark website... Install the softwarea and do NOT
reconnect the printer until the software tells you to do so.

Uninstall and reinstall is not always the answer....
Let me give you a few things to try
First off make sure there is no adware on your pc
lots of apps like to sneak adware scumwarre in..u also my
need 2 take a few items out of your startup.....

if this does not help try changin your spool data format
stay with the lexmark print pross but change the data
format 2 raw....

If your still have a issue you my want 2 check your USb
host controler.......there are some controlers that have
issues with xp or just issues period.....
such as the VIA 3038 or the SIS 7001
At anyrate update your chipset

You stated that you turned off HIB mode in control pan...
did you also turn of the power man on your root hubs?
If not you should do so
