Is your USB controlller set to be turned off after non use for a while to
save power?
Go into the Device Manager, scroll down to USB Controllers... click on the +
to expand the tree, then check each entry in turn in its Power Management
tab.
Try the new drivers at lexmark. Mine did the same until I put in the new
drivers. Make sure you download the lexmark cleaner also and then follow the
directions on their site. If you don't the old drivers will reinstall. Power
management seems to have no effect on this printer.It also has its own built
in hub that the printer is attached to.
