Lexmark x4270 not printing envelopes

More information please. What is happening when you attempt to print an
envelope? What steps do you take to set the printer up for envelopes, if
any?

I've gotten it going. I had to manually set the envelope settings in Word to
suit the Lexmark. I did this by trial and error without the worried and
frustrated user looking over my shoulder. Next day the panicked user couldn't
print his emails, I had to set up and save in the Lexmark preferences a
separate setting for printing envelopes and a default a4 print. The user has
just upgraded from Word 97 where every had worked seamlessly. One step
forward 2 steps backward as usual. Thanks for your time. Regards
