So I just upgraded to windows vista home premium. My printer lexmark X1100
series all-in-one printer worked on windows xp but ever since I upgraded, it
won't let me print anything with it. I downloaded drivers and such through
lexmark but no luck, there is always an error. If anyone can please help me,
i would very much appreciate it. Thanks!

auroraskies,

Are the drivers you downloaded Vista compatible? You likely cannot use XP
drivers successfully in Vista. If you're not sure about this, contact
Lexmark, either through information posted on their website or by direct
contact through their Support services. Lexmark should know exactly what it
takes to get you printer working in Vista.

the drivers said that they would work for windows vista, but i will try
contacting lexmark. Thanks!

I have the same problem with my Lexmark X5470, I've downloaded correct
drivers. Tried everything, at a complete loss to know what to do. Any help
will be most welcome.

I had same problem with a Lexmark, don't remember model since I no longer have it, but this made mine work:
Go to Control Panel, Printers, Properties, Ports, and uncheck "Enable bi-directional support".
