Lexmark printers and XP

I have a three year old Lexmark x63 multi-pass printer
that came with my Dell. It periodically has stopped
working which has required removing the program from the
hard drive and reinstalling the software. That no longer
works AND when I remove the software after a failed
reinstall attempt I get a message that tells me the
following file has not been found and the file is
identified as: C:\WINDOWS\System32\Spool\drivers\w32x86\3
\lxmunst.exe. Can anyone tell me if something has been
disturbed in my operating system or is it simply a file
from the printer software that is missing. I also
received this message when I tried installing the
software from the Lexmark site. I will be most
appreciative of anyone's help. with thanks, Rev. T.

You need to now do a complete uninstall as per Bruce Sanderson's
webpage...Disconnect the All in One Unit from the PC....

After the cleanup, reboot the PC. Download a new set of drivers from the
Lexmark website (www.lexmark.com).

Install the software and DO NOT reconnect the All in One unit to the PC
until the software tells you to do so.
