I have an Adobe .PDF file that I am having trouble printing. I tried
to print the file on 6 Lexmark Optra T 610, 614, or 616 printers and
all BUT ONE return a "900 Service RIP Software Error" message.
This same file prints on 4 different Optra S 1855 printers. The
printer that works has version 3.19.12 Network firmware installed
and the ones that don't work have 3.11 or 3.14 installed. Lexmark
sent me the latest 3.20.20 version and I installed it on one
printer and it still failed.
I tried printing directly to the parallel port (instead of the
network) and the printer still failed.
My test file is not the only file that fails. I get occasional
errors when my users print heavy graphics files. Text, email,
etc. seem to print fine. This problem just showed up recently
as the printers have been working fine for several years.
