Dear Shooter,

In the first box I chose Install and the next box I was told that there was
just 191 MB of space, way from the 800 MB needed by Lexmark's files.

So there was no option "Custom" or on which drive to install the files.

Best regards

When you install the software the program will ask if you wish to do a
custom install if this is the case click yes, if not at the start of the
install it will tell you where it is to install it, alter C: for L: Don't
take any notice of the idiots in this group that suggest Lexmark are
rubbish, I had many years good use from one and so have many others in this
group.

Bloody hell! What on earth is it trying to install that it needs 800MB? You could install Office XP four times in that amount of disk space.

Jon.

For some reason the software is not seeing the L: drive. Early Lexmark
software suffered this problem as it would only allow you to install on C:
but that's a long time ago. L: drive seems a long way from C; D: E: F: and
so on, how many drives do you have on your machine or do you have one drive
split into many, if so move some software off C: onto another drive and free
up the space the software needs. Although it sounds there is much more going
on here regarding how your system is setup. If you have a free drive, copy
the Lexmark CD to it and then install from that drive through Windows
Explorer but be sure you have enough space on the drive for the CD and the
install.
