I run XP and I just bought a new printer, an All-in-one Lemark X8350. Trying
to install I was informed that there was not enough space for the files that
were to be copied.

Indeed there is enough space on my program drive (L:) but I suspect that
Lexmark wants me to install the drivers etc. on C:

How do I do to change the default drive?

Take back the printer. Lexmarks are garbage.

When you install the software the program will ask if you wish to do a
custom install if this is the case click yes, if not at the start of the
install it will tell you where it is to install it, alter C: for L: Don't
take any notice of the idiots in this group that suggest Lexmark are
rubbish, I had many years good use from one and so have many others in this
group.

If there's no option to do a custom install, you'll have to move other files
off the C: drive.

It is probably looking for a temp space to store the actual installer
files.

I just spoke to Lexmark here in Sweden. They confirm that C: as default
cannot be changed by user. Thank you everyone for your support and interest
in this matter.

I mentioned this in a prior post, surely Lexmark have moved on since Windows
98, it seems not to be the case.
