After I installed the printer, my computer occasionaly freezes. When
printer is turned on, after a while my computer just stops responding.
Otherwise, the printer works properly. Don't know if it's the printer
that's causing the problem, but it started to happen after I installed
it. I'm on Windows XP and Zone Alarm firewall is installed on my system,
if that's of any importance. And yes, the printer is conected via USB
port. Anyone can help me, please?
thanks

Printer aside, XP has its own firewall and Zone Alarm may be some of the
cause. It gave me fits for a while until I found that out. If Zone Alarm
is not the problem, try uninstalling, then re-installing the printer and
software.

Lexmarks drivers are most likely the problem... make sure to download
the latest from lexmark's site. Had a friend with a similar problem
with a Z53... turns out the drivers were eating ram until there was
none left for the system and locking it... the new drivers took longer
before the PC locked up, but it still did it... her cure was to buy an
HP all in one to replace it... no more lockups.
Basically lexmark is the fisher price of printers... they suck
