Before formatting my old IBM PC, with Lotus, I downloaded all my old
correspondance onto a floppy with the intent of downloading them into My
Documents in this new Dell Computer running Windows XP. Now, XP doesn't seem
to like those files and wants nothing to do with them. Is there a way of
doing this?

Your help is appreciated.

Thanks!

Please help us to help you. It's very hard to answer your
question as it stands because you've told us almost nothing about
your problem. What does "XP doesn't seem to like those files and
wants nothing to do with them" mean? Exactly what did you try,
and exactly what was the result? If you got an error message,
please quote it verbatim.

More details needed. Is the problem that you can't even see
the files on the floppy or that you can't open the files?

Have you installed Lotus on the XP machine?

if ya still got old program and old pc you need to go back on it and openeach one and save as word doc or something that is compatable in either office or word, the format in lotus is not compatable with any existing microsoft product until you convert them ""save as---pick word" and save then try to open them, or ya just have to put lotus on your new pc
