This is a followup question to my "ADDRESS BOOK"
question. I think I can accomplish what I want to do
using the Letter Wizard in Word 2002; however, how can I
save certain specifications in the wizard so I do not
have to constantly click things like: date, letterhead
2", Sincerely, etc.

I have learned a ton on this newsgroup - thanks

You can do those repetitive things in one step by
creating a macro. Many people think this is a hard thing
to do, but it isn't.
OK, here is your solution,

Open your letter, and click on:
"Tools" -> "Macro" -> "Record New Macro..."
Give a name to your macro and click on "Keyboard".
Press a key combination such as 'Alt+A' or whatever. If
the combination you've entered is already used, it will
tell you. Then you click "Press" and then "Close". There
will be a very small window in your word doc.

The macro will begin to record whatever you do in the
worksheet. From this point, just do whatever work you do
repetitively (eg. writing date, address, sincerely,
letter body, etc.)

After you have done, just click "Stop Recording" (the
square) in your macro window (the small one floating in
your work sheet).

That's it :) The next time you want to do your letter
just press 'Alt+A' or whatever key you assigned.

I hope this helps,

Sincerely, Martino

Oh, I forgot one more thing.

To insert date and time, you have to use
"Insert" -> "Date and Time..." and choose the format you
prefer.

Don't just type the date and time, because it's not going
to update automatically.

Sincerely,
Martino Widjojo
