Letter to Contact

Hi

I have this strange occurance happening with contacts.

When you highlight a contact the select from menu bar ACTIONS, NEW LETTER TO CONTACT, it opens word then inserts the following details. You will notice that the name appears twice

A.N. Other
IT Support
A.N. Other
A.N. Other Support
Building 1
Block 3
Cardiff
South Glamorgan

This is annoying as when we create a mail merge it shows the persons name twice. Has any one seen this before or know of a fix\work around

Hi Russ

Thanks for your last, i tried the windows KB article and confirm that when I select the address from the Address Book whilst in Word it work perfectly, i.e. the name only appears once. When I use Outlook (2K) Contacts\Action\Letter to Contact it displays the name twice. I can manually take out the second instance of the name but if I am creating a mail merge I do not have sufficient time for this.

Any ideas

I have recreated a new AddressLayout and confirm that the fields I have choosen now print out in word correctly. My problem still remains that if I select a contact then select Actions\Letter to Contact the name is displayed twice. Is there an AddressLayout autotext that I can check within Outlook 2k?

No ideas. You did not state how you constructed the merge. Post it so
someone can see what you're doing wrong.

These are Word settings, not Outlook.
Check the AddressLayout setting for the template you are using.
