Synapse Syndrome

Are the recent Lenovo Thinkpads built as well as previous Thinkpads and are
the keyboards just as good?

So far they seem to be. They get overall good customer reviews and the few I
have seen come into the shop are in for software issues, not hardware.
 
AFAIK the ThinkPads currently being sold are the same models, and from
the same production lines as before IBM sold the division. New models
are nearing the distribution end of the production pipeline so it
remains to be seen what changes in quality will occur.

I hope that stays that way, the new T60s with the dual-core Intel chips
look promising. Might even be enough of an advantage for me to finally
upgrade my 4 year old laptop.

(Anxiously waiting for the actual product announcements in Feb 2006 for
the T60 line.)
