2 computers in same office- both run Windows 2000.
On same DSL router, not on formal network.

2 X last week #1 displays blue screen with white letters
stating: Beginning physical memory dump.
Control/Alt/Delete would not work-
Front CPU On/off button would not work-
Shut off power.
Seemed to function normally in between these episodes.

Sat. #2 displays same message and exhibits same behaviour.

Do we have a virus???
or legitimate error message that strangely happened on
both systems?

What's the exact error at the top of the blue screen? IRQ_LESS blahblahblah?
Usually due to a hardware error.

But if you suspect you have a virus, the logical question is: Are you
running AV software? Also, do you have a firewall? Your DSL router isn't
going to protect you very well. A cheap and cheerful hardware firewall
device that does NAT and DHCP is your best bet.
