I have set a newspage as my startpage. For some obscure
reason this page is said to change my homepage into ....
my homepage! (meaning the page that automatically starts
with iexplore)

I have the option to always ignore this threat in the
future. Now, ofcourse I do not want to prevent browser
hijacks, but I want to ignore this "change" of starting
page.

Which result do I get, if I choose "always igore"?

Best regards,

Maarten Maan

I'm actually wondering the same thing.

I set my homepage on my computer at work to our company
page in the Browser Restore settings and it still calls it
a "Browser Hijack."

I'm worried that selecting "Always Ignore" will cause
legitmate hijacks to be ignored.

Any ideas on this one?

Are there no microsoft consultants scanning these
newsgroups for offering suppport?

Set the homepage in the MSAS program.

In Microsoft AntiSpyware,
Go to Advance Tools | Browser Restore
Check "Start Page" in the right pane at the bottom
Choose "change URL Settings..." link
Type in the desired Start page url link you want
Click ok
