Left Over Window on Desktop!!

Can anyone tell me what I can do to resolve the fact that when I open a new
window I can see through to the window beneath for a short while. Other
times when I close a window small parts of the window remain visible for a
few seconds. I believe it may be my video driver that is the problem but
could anyone else shed some light on it please. I am running XP Pro SP1a
with an G Force 3 TI 200 card. Thanks a lot.
