Left mouse click will not open icons

When I left click to open a icon on my desktop the icon will not open. Also I
must use the right click and open in windows explorer. I have uninstalled and
reinstalled the software with the same problem and also tried a logitech and
microsoft mouse with the same results. Any ideas?

Try this.

Type: regsvr32 /i shell32 into Start | Run and click OK
