Does anyone know of a site that has the earlier version of Leechget that is
fully functional freeware? I'm interested in finding a new download manager
and many people here highly recommended this program.

Google "leechget 1450"

I'm using 1500. Is it not fully functional? It says genuinely free for
personal use on the site.

A totally cost- and ad-free "Personal Edition" which provides
high-definition download-managing features but limits the number of
simultaneous downloads to eight and comes without support and updates.

You may use LeechGet free of charge for private use only (LeechGet
Personal Edition). However, the Personal Edition comes without support
and updates and you can only download three files simultaneously

Thanks for the information. As I'm on dialup it seems to do everything I
need. Might check out the earlier version all the same. :-)

Thanks. I found a copy although many links are now connecting with the
current version. I'd be fine with the 8 simultaneous downloads that the
site mentions but I have DSL and 3 isn't worth it.

Teaching granny to suck eggs springs to mind. One slips by and you get
criticism.

Took me a while to find it on Google. As you say lots of links for it
have been redirected to the new version. In the end I found it on a
Chinese site. If anyone is looking for it I could stick it on my site
for download, if the license allows it.
