I use LeechFTP almost daily and have only one minor quibble with it (I
know at the price of FREE one shouldn't have quibbles but anyway...).

Each week it sends out the message that it is looking for a program
update. Never in the several years that I've used it has it ever
found said update.
Is there anything I can do to get it to stop looking for the update?

TIA

I've used Leech too, and I don't recall finding a way to turn that off.
You might want to take a look at FileZilla; it's a light-weight and
freeware FTP client, with many of the features in Leech.

I only have german version here, but it can be found easily:

File / Options / Appearance / Update Checker

or something simular...

What version are you using? My copy (ver. 1.3.1.202) never checks for
an update.

Thanks Thorsten.
I can never find easy stuff like that.
I appreciate your taking the time to write.

My copy is ver 1.3.1.207

But Thorsten had the answer as to how to keep it from checking for
updates.

Yeah, I caught that in my reply to Thorsten. Glad he was able to help you.

File / Options / Appearance-tab: uncheck that option.
