leaving mail on server

On my Win2000 laptop I can leave messages on the server after viewing so
that I can later view them on my desktop. I have not been able to do this
with my Vista laptop. Anyone know the trick?

Assuming this is in Windows Mail, Tools | Options | Advanced
 
You can go to Tools, Accounts, select your mail account, Properties,
Advanced and at the bottom you should have the same selections you did as
before: leave on server and remove after so many days or when deleted.
