Leave workgroup on Exit

I have setup a workgroup for a small database I built on my companies shared
drive. Is there a way once a user exits out of the database, for them to
automaticly exit the workgroup and return to their default group?

If you did not redefine, replace the default mdw system file and simply are
calling your mdw as a command line switch when starting the db, then you have
no problem, this is already the case.

Otherwise, you will have to explain what you have done, how you have set
things up currently, so we can try to understand your situation to try and
guide you.

I created a shortcut to the DB with a /wrkgrp command in the Target field.
What I'm noticing is that when I exit the DB and then try to open one of the
other DB on our shared drive that has no security protocols, I am still being
asked for my username and password.

Since we are talking about mdw files I am assuming Access 2003.

So goto:
Tools -> Security -> Workgroup Administrator

What does it state for your Workgroup? Be default it should point to
%user%\Application Data\Microsoft\Access\System.mdw

Where is your pointing?

When I'm in the database I created, I'm in the workgroup I created. The
problem is when I leave the database, I don't leave the workgroup. I want it
to default back to the system.mdw when I leave. Is there a way to program
that in VBA?

Are you exiting Access altogether before opening the other DB, or are you
closing one database while leaving Access open, and then opening another
database?
 
Both. Even after I shut down my computer and log back into another DB, I'm
still stuck in the other workgroup.

It sounds like you have joined that workgroup. That's what Daniel Pineault
last questions was checking, and you didn't answer it. Here it is again:
