Leave Messages on Server

I´m trying Windows Vista and configured my email account in Windows Mail (WM)
to let a copy on server. For any reason, after WM picks up my messages, all
the messages I´ve received are gone!
This didn´t happen in Outlook Express 6.0.
Is there something I can do to solve the problem?

TOOLS menu|ACCOUNTS

Select the mail account, then click on PROPERTIES|ADVANCED tab
