Leasing IP Address

Usually when IP addresses are leased that means there is
a DHCP server involved and the setting on the length of
the lease is located on the server itself. Contact your
network administrator and ask if they can change the
length of the lease. When your IP is renewed you should
not lose your downloads or anything so it is possible
that it is some kind of hardware glitch.
 
Everytime it renews the lease, it re-sets the connection
and the downloads stop and I have to start over. Also
note that the lease times change. Last week the lease was
10 minutes and this week it is 5 minutes.
