Hi,
After watching all the lectures related to the vista launch yesterday, I
really want to get involved and learn about the new technologies such as WPF
and .NET 3.0. I am currently in my last year of University and am very
dissapointed that my course has not even touched on any Microsoft
technologies so i want to know where I can learn more. I learned programming
using good old VB6 and loved it. I really ahve 3 question:
1. Do you think it would still be worth learning the current versions of
..NET aswell as the newer technologies (.NET 3.0 and WPF) or would it be
better to focus on the newer technologies given that I am new to most of it.
2. What, in your opinion is the best way to learn such a vast new concept.
i.e. Are there weekly courses/evening courses available.
3. Is there any financial support available for students who wish to learn
with Microsoft.
I know there is information regarding some of my questions on the site but I
figured I should also get the opinions of real people aswell as the
information from Microsoft itself
Thanks
