Leading zeros in Windows Explorer

WE ignores leading zeroes when displaying a file list.
Since I have a *lot* of image files with numeric names,
this creates chaos when I try to find a file named, say,
04235.psd; it will appear after 41668.psd. I'v lokked
pretty closely at all the menus in WE, and haven't found a
fix.

Any suggestions?
Thanks.

"half a solution" is to reorder the file list, (click the filename column
header), that'll shunt the files with leading zeros to the bottom of the
list.

There were vast numbers of complaints in earlier versions that
ex[lorer's sort did *not* treat numeric fields as numbers, thus putting
file10 before file9, that it now treats any sequence of digits as a
numerical entity. If you have SP1, then Use TweakUI - one of the XP
Powertoys from
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/pro/downloads/powertoys.asp

Once installed you will find it in Start - All Programs - Powertoys for
Windows XP

It has a setting on the Explorer page to 'use intuitive file name
sorting - uncheck it.

If you do not have SP1, Kelly has a fix on her site at
