leader line in index

is there anyway to do an tab leader line that goes to an end on an index
column and not to a page number

I have this:
Clinical Director
Smith, Jones.................78
Totas, Smumth.............22

I want this
Clinical Director...................
Smith, Jones.................78
Totas, Smumth.............22

I _think_ you'd have to manually type a tab, but you _might_ be able
to include the tab in the paragraph style for the heading.

But using a dot leader without a page number would look quite odd.
(The purpose of the leader is to lead the eye to the matching item, so
why have one when there's nothing to lead to?)

Your right it does look odd unfortunately some around me think it looks
prettier.
I think I'll let them its too much hassel to do.
