"LDVP" is a familiar acronym from the old LANDesk Virus Protect antivrus products
made by Intel. Symantec acquired or licensed (??) (parts of) that technology from
Intel around the time they also snarfed up IBM antivirus (LDVP was using the IBMAV
detection engine at the time).
Thus, I'd not be surprised to see it showing up in a NAV environment (especially
NAV CE where the remote management stuff from LDVP is most likely to be seen --
this was clarly LDVP's strength and presumably the reason Symantec was so keen to
obtain the LDVP technology as useful network deployment and management were things
earlier NAV versions were sorely lacking, hindering the products adoption in large
corporate installations).
