I did some searching on this problem and didn't find any. I have a Sony
Vaio system that came with a flat panel monitor. a little over a year after
I got it, the monitor started having a problem that I have a hard time
describing. After it has been on a short while, it starts to get staticky
lines across the screen, that grow worse and finally cause the display to
just "fizz" out. The lines start at the edge and are worse there, until it
gets bad enough to just make the image diappear. At first it would go away
if we adjusted the angle of the screen, but only for a little while at a
time. Now, it gets better for less than a minute if I turn the power to the
monitor off and back on. I unplugged and retired the monitor for a year or
so, and then got it out shortly after last Christmas to try it again, and it
was fine until this morning. It was doing it while I was typing this, and I
just noticed it has quit. Don't know for how long. You know how it is with
problems that fix themselves. Anyone have any ideas?
