Latest PcCillin pattern set false alarming ..

Pattern set: 2.178.000

it's reporting "BKDR_SURILA.B" in "C:\WINDOWS\system32\SVKP.sys",
whereas this file routinely appears as part of several bits of shareware
... If the .exe and registry changes are not also present, this is a
false alarm, although I can't see any way to tell PcCillin to 'leave
this damn file alone'. Just as well I've finished (it seems) with the
offending shareware.

telling the software to ignore the file is not the ideal solution to
anti-virus false alarms... if people did that people would have rather
large ignore-lists because av vendors wouldn't be fixing the problem...

and a false positive *is* a problem with their software, complain to
them and they should fix it... if they don't, take your business
elsewhere...
