Just My $.02

It never bothers me when an OnDemand scanner takes a long time to load.
If I'm doing an Ondemand scan I don't intend to do anything else. If it
takes 20 seconds to do what it needs to to startup I really don't care.

If the only change in the newer version will be a faster load time I will
skip it.
No telling what they might have compromised to make it "faster"

Everyone is allowed their opinion on an app and it's functionality, Tim.
The slow start-up issue was a large one for me, SpyBot has fixed that and
it's your option to run it or not :)

Obviously if there are other improvements I will of course update to the
newer version :-)

I do agree that the slow start up is annoying. The first couple of times I
ran it I had to wonder if I had single clicked instead of double, before I
realized that this was just the way it was.

You mention in the duplicate thread that you have been experiencing really
bad weather for a while now, where are you located?

Your choice, Alan - the UI is a "bit" different but not that radical :)

the new built is a bit faster but i still have v1.4 on all my other
computers
i will wait till they take this one out of beta just in case they find
something else

Fine by me, Robin, though the RC (Beta) get's my stamp-of-approval.
