Anyone else have any problem with the latest (Sept) update from antivira?
It threw my W98 OS into a flat spin - following download my pc failed to
re-boot going straight into Safe mode. Time and again it failed, reaching the Windows logo only
to re-start from scratch once again, then into Safe mode once more - No way could I get a normal start.
Eventually, using msconfig to check out start-up progs I disabled
the antivira references and presto - normal start. Needless to say I've uninstalled
antivira completely, hoping next updates will be safer to instal when I pluck up courage
Anyone else encounter any similar problem? From time to time I've had quirky behaviour following updates
though never as severe as this time. Occasionally I've had failed antivira loading at bootup -
usually with some reference to vxd files. All other programs function fine .. I have a Pentium 4
with 1Gb ram etc etc. I'm trying to figure if my system somehow conflicts with certain antivira
updates. Odd thing is that on most occasions they've worked fine.
Any clues please???
