I got this email that claims it is from Microsoft, but I don't think it is.
It has an attachment that I will not open due to the risk of it infecting my
computer, does anyone have any info on it. The Subject Line Reads "Last Net
Upgrade" and it From: Microsoft.

Trust your instincts. The attachment is most likely a virus and definitely
*not* from MS.

There is only ONE trustworthy source for Windows XP updates:
http://v4.windowsupdate.microsoft.com

The email of which you speak is ever so popular to send and receive. Starting
about three weeks ago, (oddly enough, about the same time I foolishly used my
real hotmail address on a newsgroup), I started getting slammed with such
emails. Luckily, I consider it fun to try to be smarter than miscreants. Sure,
sometimes we all lose that battle, but this life is a live-and-learn eXPerience.
