Last Names in Address book

If you are referring to Windows Mail (there is no Outlook Express in Vista)
in Windows Contacts you will need to go to each contact individually and
pull down full name under name and e-mail. Under full name you have three
choices as to how to display that name.
If there is an easier way please let us know.

If you're talking about the 'Select Recipients' dialog that is shown when
you click 'To:' in a new e-mail, click on the sort arrow that appears when
you mouseover the 'Name' header. It toggles through FOUR display states:

FullName ascending
FullName descending
Last, First ascending
Last, First descending

If you're talking about viewing the Contacts folder, the name of the contact
is based on the 'Full Name' field. It has a drop list that allows you to
select 'First Last', 'Last, First' or 'Last First'. You can also type any
text you like as the Full Name -- it won't change the First and Last fields.

I have not found the command inVista to display the last names first in the
address book of Outlook Express 7. I'm obliged to deal with a listing by
first names, which is not good.
Thanks for your suggestions.

Keith, can you expand on this. I cannot find where on contacts folder to find
drop down list to fix last names first. Thanks

You have to open each contact. Click on the 'Name & E-mail' tab. 'Full
Name:' is the fourth field.
